Sixth Reflection of PETA Class about Micro Teaching and Differentiated Instruction

In the previous meeting of PETA Class, I got a lot of meaningful materials from my lecturer. She gave feedback for us about our Micro Teaching. I thought that it was a good meeting, because I could learn how we should teach effectively. It would help me for my future. Besides that, I also learned about Differentiated Instruction and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

In the previous meeting, there were many important things that I learned and I understood, such as; we should tell to students about the objectives of the lesson first. Before we go to the materials, students should know what are the objectives of the lesson, so students know what will they learn and achieve in the end of the lesson. It was very important thing. And then, I also understood about assessment in the class room. Actually my experience in SEP before, the master teacher always asked me to give assessment for students, but I confused what kind assessment that should we did. She did not explain and I have assessed them from their worksheet, but I gave their result in the next meeting and she still asked about assessment. After got feedback from my lecturer, I little understood about assessment activities in the class room, so assessment is not only from worksheet or exercise, but also can be class room activities. Actually, there were other points that I learned beside two before. All of them were very important for me.

The next, I also learned about Differentiated Instruction and Bloom’s Taxonomy. I could learn about how teacher facilitates the differences of students need. I thought that it was difficult for me, but I was interested to apply it someday. As an educator candidate, I should know about this thing and I hope that I can apply it. I should think creatively to create nice activities that can cover almost all the multiple intelligence  Other way, I should create various activities and apply it time by time, so indirectly in the one time.

In the previous meeting, I understood well. I thought that I can achieve what I expect before. This session was interesting for me, because I could learned many meaningful materials and got feedback from my lecturer that could increase my next Micro Teaching. Besides that, this session also meaningful for my future, because it can helps me to prepare my future to face the real situation. Of course, it needs a big preparation and much knowledge before. The last, my expectation for the next meeting, I hope that I can learn new materials in warm situation or warm atmosphere. Thank you.
