REFLECTION ON 7^TH DECEMBER

In that session I had learnt some material, for the first we focused on sharing session. We shared about what we felt after do micro teaching in front of the class. There were some of us that shared about their feeling. Almost of them said that, that moment was different with the real situation in the classroom. They felt nervous but it was not like when they felt in School Experience School. They thought that their friends were clever to get the material from them. Even some of my friends were afraid if our others’ friends were more expert in the material that was going to be delivered. Moreover it was assessed by our lecturer. Although we had to do microteaching in front of our friends, we were trying to do our best in front of the classroom.

Besides that we also learnt about managing classroom, instruction in the classroom, Bloom’s Taxonomi and also a little about Multiples intelligence. When we talked about managing class, my lecturer shared about her experience. She also shared about how to solve some problem in the classroom. For the example was when there is student or there are some of students don’t pay attention to us we can do something like play the lamp, we can switch on and off the lamp. In the classroom, I remember three things that had said by Ms. Inne, those are objectives, main activities and the last was assessment. We have to aware to those three aspects. Then in instruction, here we have to focus on our language. It is really important for us when we give instruction to our students. We have to give clear instruction and easily to understand by the students.

Blooms’ Taxonomi and Multiple Intelligences, actually we had talked about these material in the previous meeting. Otherwise, it was related with the way we deliver our material to the students. I caught simple understanding in this meeting, Multiple Intelligences is about the varieties of students ability in studying. Then Blooms’ Taxonomi is about the challenges in measuring students’ understanding.

For me this session was interesting, for the first I really like if my teacher share about the experience. For me it is really interesting, because I can learn more from the experience. If talk about my expectation, I really expect that I can know more about handle class be well. I think in this session I got some of them. It’s going to be important thing for me.
