Melita 6th Reflection

In the PETA course meeting on December 7th, I really learnt a lot of things. I learn how to do a good and effective teaching from the evaluation and discussion about the micro-teaching in the previous meeting. In this meeting I also learn new topic, that’s about the multiple intelligences. This not really new for me, because I already learnt this material when I was in the first semester, but there is something new that I get from this meeting. That’s about the differentiate instruction base on students’ intelligences. Actually, this meeting was very interesting because Bu Ine, explain about how to teach base on students’ intelligences and discussing about how to do a good (team) team teaching, but I got a fever and flu in this meeting so I cannot concentrate in the whole meeting.

From today’s meeting I really learn a lot and I really understand about how to do a good micro-teaching (teaching) because Bu Ine give the explanation clearly and I also understand about the Multiple Intelligences application in the class. From the meeting I understand how to open the class (Ice breaking), procedure to teach, how to get students’ attention and also how to create a good closure. The thing that I understand the most is the closure; actually closure is important because in the closure session as a teacher I have to summed up all the material today because it will help student understand more and as a teacher we can do assessment in the end of the lesson or we can use it as the consideration material about the lesson planning that we’ve prepared.

In this meeting, Bu Ine do the explanation clearly whenever it’s little bit too fast but over all I understand all the material. To improve my knowledge and to add more my knowledge about today’s material, I will read books, browsing or asking my friend or my senior that understand more about this material than me.

As I said before, today’s meeting was very interesting because I can really learnt a lot of thing and today Bu Ine explain the material clearly and easy to understand. Today’s material is very useful for me as a teacher candidate because it will help me in the future, from the micro-teaching evaluation I got knowledge how to do a good teaching and from the multiple intelligences I learn that as a teacher, I have to be aware on my students’ intelligences and how are their learning style. I have to create a lesson plan that will help my students to learn in my class by their own intelligences and learning style.

Today’s session was as I expect because from the micro-teaching in the previous meeting, I have a lot of question in my mind about how to do a good teaching and I also curious about the discussion about the micro teaching, cause I want to know how was my teaching and how to improve it, and today’s session was explain about it. For the next session I expect about the multiple Intelligences more, because today explanation little bit incomplete.
