Fifth Reflection PETA

              In the previous meeting my friends and I had the micro teaching where we have to teach in a group. In that session, every students had to do a teaching process in the group of 4 which had been divided in the previous week. My group got number 4 to teach, and the rest of my friends pretended to be the students. My group taught about the narrative text. We chose the Indonesian folktales which is Malin Kundang and Roro Jongrang story. We made some activities to teach, they were lecturing about narrative text, group discussion and also role play for the students. Through this kind activity, I learnt that make an effective environment in teaching was not easy. We have to create a good lesson plan where all the content in the lesson plan can be applied appropiately in the class and we also have to create an interesting activity which can increase students’ enthusiasm in learning process.
              I felt so nervous when I have to perform my group lesson plan. When I had teching experience in SEP I did not get nervous after I do pre-teach, but I do not know why I always got nervous when I have to present in front of my friend.  From the performed I think that if the teacher was nervous it can affect the student esnthusiasm and class condition. I hope someday I can find the solution from my nervousness because as a teacher candidate I learn that self confidence is very important. Actually I very surprised when I saw Geby’s group performed which was almost the same with my group’s activity but the way we delivered the material were different.
 
             The last meeting was so interesting, because it was fun to pretend to be a teacher and the students in the same time as well. It was so useful, and I do not know how to express how happy I am to have this kind of practice. I also feel happy because my friends who pretended to be students could cooperate to be active students. I think all performances in my class were so great and I could learn from others. Besides that, I was also happy because the rest of my friends who pretended to be students could cooperate to be active students. For the next meeting, I expect that I can learn something new again that could improve my skills and my knowledge how to be a good educator, I also hope Miss Ine will give comments and suggestion from our teaching practice.
