Nurawati Mina - MICRO TEACHING

On the last meeting I learned in micro teaching class. We are divided into several groups and we taught in group. Our friends as students. Actually it was not my first time teaching in the front of people. I did it many times in almost every subject in the campus but I still nervous standing in the front of people and teach them. There is new thing that I learned in micro teaching class. I have to concern about time allocation that I had and materials that I will give to students. It is important because it will determine the objective of the lesson will be achieved or not.

From the meeting I understand that every people have different style to teach. Not all people have sense of humor and looked interesting in teaching and not all people can serious bring the lesson. Sometimes as a student I feel relax in the class because the teacher are humorous and do some funny things. In another time I feel so serious and little bit strained because the teacher teaches me with serious way.

Overall I understand how to teach and how to deliver the materials to students. It is not only were taught in PETA course but also all subject in campus taught me how to teach, how to deliver the lesson. However I have to still learn about how to manage the class, how to grab student into lesson, how to make them interest and want to learn the material.

Fortunately, I was on this session because I can learn from my friends how to teach. I can make judgments based on their performance did micro teaching. Based on them I can learn which the best way to teach students is. The session was interesting because not only I can learn from my friends but also I can try to do the same thing like them and I can have feedback from them about my teaching.

The session was my opportunity to exercise my skill in teaching. I thanks to God before I become a teacher I can sharpen my teaching skill. As teacher candidate I need micro teaching session because it is as media to look how far I can deliver the teaching materials. I can know what should I do, what should I improve and what should I do not do while teaching.

I think the session was like my expectation because I can learn so many valuable things. This is what I want from the educational courses. I want the courses tell me how to teach and let me practice it and give me feedback about my teaching. Although until now I do not have the feedback yet.

I hope after this session I can see and know from Miss Ine and from my friends directly what should I improved from my teaching. I hope we will discuss it together in order to improve my skill in teaching.
