This
week meeting of PETA, there was no lecturer's explanation session as in the other previous meeting. It was a bit tense for me because my class mates and I did
the micro teaching that we have never done before. Even though I have
experienced it in School Experience Program last along with my partner, but I felt that teaching in PETA class was
different with teaching in the real class. I think there were some factore that caused it. First, it might be because in micro teaching we were assessed by bu
Ine and the entire class members, and also the time was so brief and limited,
so that I felt like I was a bit under pressure. The second
factor was the lack if communication and preparation of my group. I felt that
my group’s performance was not so good and it looked unprepared. There was a misunderstanding
among us toward the micro teaching. From that, I got the lesson that we really
have to be prepared or everything will not be alright.
For
me, doing micro teaching is similar with doing drama. I mean what we do is not
real. Even though we do the real teaching, but the students, the class and
another thing are not as real as in the school. In SEP, I felt that I did it
well in the class, but then in the practice of micro teaching in the last
meeting was a bit not satisfying. It felt like there was a little pressure when
doing it. But then I saw the other groups presented their turn, and they were
so good. Then my group and I realized
that we were so unprepared, and I hope that in final exam micro teaching I will
exert every effort to make it deserves to be assessed.
This
micro teaching practice was so interesting because it gave me a lot of lesson to take. I learned from the other
groups’ performance about many things. For example if I found an interesting
way or idea of one group’s performance, I will try to apply that in my own way with my own style and idea.
My expectation for final exam micro teaching
is that I will maximize my work to prepare everything,
with any one that I work
with. I think learned to be prepared from now is not too late, because being prepared will be useful in the future when I become an educator.

I agree with you. I was not satisfied with my microteaching. It was really different. I was quite nervous with my microteaching. But then, it is okay. It means that you and I learned something new then. As usual, your grammar is good, but then there are some mistakes in typing like "some factore". Okay, keep improving your skill! :)
BalasHapusyap Ambar, that's the point. the important thing is that we can learned something from our lacking thing or from the others' performance.
Hapusthank you so much for your correction. yap, you're right, sometimes (even often) I do mistake in typing a lot, but I have to be more careful later.
Well, first I would like to clap hands and saying thank you for the writing :) We have same idea and feeling about last session, did the microteaching.
BalasHapusAtually, I have read some of our friends writing and the idea or the message is almost the same. It is all about "PREPARATION". After I read, I think that what we call as preparation has a very big effect till the end of the thing that we do. It will influence the level of satisfaction that we get. If you as the teacher is not satisfy, then how about our students, right?
So, my question is simple. In your opinion, what is the real meaning of "preparation" ?? Could you please briefly tell me what is the relation between effective teaching and preparation ??? Thank you :)
thank you Raphita for your constuctive comment. it means a lot coming from you.
HapusI think preparation is an effort or process to make things become prepared and ready to use, to show, to present, etc. what do you say?
