Fifth Reflection of PETA (Ambar Nurul Ansari)

On the last session of PETA, I learned some new things. I learned from my friends’ microteaching. I paid attention to their microteaching. I observed the ways they taught, the lesson plans, and the materials. They taught in front of class in a team. There were seven groups but one group did not do the microteaching because one of its members did not come. Everything they did when they were teaching is really important to learn. I learned from what they have done.

Then, I understood something clearly based on the microteaching that to be a good teacher is quite hard. It is easy for me to say I will be a good teacher, but when I have to practice, for sure it is quite hard to do. That is why SSE sends me to school to do School Experience Program. SSE want me to learn from my own experiences when SEP. I can conclude what I should and should not do in the classroom by my own experiences. It is because I can reflect to my own experiences in SEP.

But then, I am still confused. It is because Bu Ine did not give the feedbacks toward the microteaching. So, it is hard for me to make sure which one is not effective and effective. For me, comments include of complain, suggestion, or critics are really important to improve my skill in teaching. At least, I can be better on my next teaching.

Actually, this session was quite interesting. It is because I could watch my friends when they were teaching and I also could learn from them. Like what I have stated above that this session was really meaningful for me. I know that after all I will be a teacher. It is hard to be a good teacher. That is why I have to learn from my own experiences, my friends’ experiences and anything to be a good teacher.

I was quite satisfied with this session, but I was quite disappointed because Bu Ine did not give the comments or etc. It was because I expected that she would give the feedbacks after all. But then, it is okay. I hope, the next session will be more interesting and Bu Ine also gives her feedbacks, especially for microteaching.

  1. Hi Ambar :)

for sure, you have experience for teaching or micro teaching..but, for me yesterday was little bit different bcz we did micro teaching on group of four, have 20 minutes to do micro teaching and we have to prepare the teaching aids too. what is your opinion about that ? is there any differences ? do you have any obstacles when doing micro teaching ?

    Thank you,,

  2. yap, i agree about we did not get feed back from bu Ine of what should we add more or reduce from our micro teaching. compare with your SEP experience, what's the difference between that experience and this micro teaching for you??...
by the way you writing is so clear and I can see you idea in it, but there is still grammar error like in "SSE want me to..." it should be "SSE wants me to..."
    keep writing!!!

Yes, Ambar. I agree with you. We need feed back from her, so we can know the point that should improve for us. But, I thought that in the next session we will get the feedback after all of group finish, and the previous meeting we did not have extra time to did reflection, right? :)
I hope the next session, we will get the feedback and suggestion from her. ;)
    Thank you.
