Differentiated Instruction & Bloom Taxonomy


Microteaching Reflection and Differentiated Instruction

I didn’t join PETA class this meeting because I was sick last week. Although I was not joining this class, I still keep reading the material from moodle and ask my friends about the topic last week. I learnt about microteaching reflection and differentiated instruction in the classroom in this week. Actually microteaching is not the new things for me because I did it in previous week. I had many experiences in microteaching, some of them were happy things and other was not. The good things happened when our friends and I can do good cooperate and discuss about the topic well. Then, for the bad one happen when we were lacking in preparation and feeling confused in the real microteaching activity.
             So far this activity is good to encourage my self confidence, team work, and deep understanding in the material that I will deliver to my students later. In this topic I clearly understood about multiple intelligences. In differentiated instruction are involving multiple intelligences and Bloom taxonomy. I have understood that multiple intelligences help the teacher to make assessment for the students. To know the students ability, the teacher can use the multiple intelligence. For example, verbal linguistic, visual special etc so the teacher can know the students ability well through giving difference activity to know students’ multiple intelligence.
 For the differentiated instruction is a method to give different way to explain the material to the students in the classroom. Probably, the students can learn same topic but the teacher gives different way to explain about that topic to the students. The reason to do this method knows ability of each student. If the teacher knows the ability of each student it will help the teacher to deliver the explanation about the topic.
Based on other reflection in the blog, there three important part of teaching. I don’t know what they are, that is why I will discuss it later with my friends and also with my lecturer. Last meeting session was not as my expectation, because I was sick and cannot do the activity as usual. Actually I want share my ideas with other and find the solution.  I think this topic is really important for me as teacher candidate.
            I know how to measure the students’ ability by blooms taxonomy, knowing the students ability by multiple intelligence, and how to deliver the explanation by differentiated instruction. Hopefully, I can join PETA class foe next week and dig up new diamond lesson for my knowledge.

  1. Hi Yuttie, I am so sorry to hear that you were sick last week so you could not join the class. I have experienced did not join this course for twice and it's hard to run to catch the material. But if you find any difficulties you can contact me and other friends regarding to this topic so we learn together :)

    Ok. just a little bit reviewing from last week session. Yes, we did evaluation about our micro-teaching performance last week and yes it's true that preparation and also trustworthiness are needed in doing this kind of activity. We also discussed about differentiated instruction and multiple intelligences.

    Ok.. the thing that I would like to ask to you is still about teaching. In your writing,I find sentences "Based on other reflection in the blog, there three important part of teaching. I don’t know what they are.." I want to know your own opinion what they are?? Based on your opinion and your perspectives, please state what are the 3 most important things or parts in teaching ??

    And the last thing is, in your opinion as a teacher (candidate) what do you think about differentiated instruction, multiple intelligences, and Bloom's taxonomy? How do you see these three things relate to effective teaching ?? Thank you :)

  2. thank you Raphita for your comments and questions. let me answer one by one. for the first question you ask about three important part of teaching. the first is objective, activity, and assessment. For the second question, if I am become the teacher later I will do those kinds of elements to teach my students in the classroom. do you know that differentiated instruction is really important to measure students ability and understanding and other elements also. so, all of them are related each other.
