Differentiated Instruction and Microteaching



Actually, on the last session of PETA, I got my expectation. Finally, Miss Ine gave my friends and me feedbacks of our microteaching. Before that, there was a group that still did not do microteaching. Then, Miss Ine let them did the microteaching. The topic of the last session was about feedbacks of microteaching and explaining about differentiated instruction. By those learning, I tried to understand all of parts of this session. I did not learn any new things. Maybe, it is because I was really familiar with this topic on the other subjects.

I understood clearly that as a teacher I had to prepare my teaching by practicing. It would be ashamed if an English teacher did mistakes in grammar or pronounciation. Those were what Miss Ine said. But then, I was quite confused about how to make a good situation in the classroom based on the differentiated instruction. It was because the differentiated instruction was quite complicated to apply. Just imagined, there were eight multiple intelligences and then I had to concern to all of them.

The last session was quite interesting. It is because I got the feedbacks of the microteaching. So, I could learn from the feedbacks. Then, talking about Multiple Intelligent was quite interesting. It is because I could realize how everybody is smart. As a teacher someday, this session was really meaningful. I could understand that as a teacher I had to realize that my students are smart. I must not differenciated them with different treatment. I just need to realize that they are smart and I have to make my teaching becomes interesting with differentiated instruction based on their multiple intelligences.

Like what I have stated before that this session was really fulfill my expectation. It is because I got the feedbacks of the microteaching. For me, feedbacks are really important. How I could know my debility and improve my skill if there were no feedbacks. On the next session, I hope that I will get many new things and they are really meaningful for me as a teacher someday.

    You reflection has already good, if I may suggest please elaborate more on what you have learned from feedback of the micro teaching session.
    And for the materials we have been familiar with multiple intelligences, I want to know what is your opinion about combining MI with Bloom's Taxonomy.

    For the grammar and mechanical I think, you have been doing good. That's all I want to say, thank you.
