In this week meeting, my
class mates and I discuss about the Models of Instruction, the characteristic,
the strength and the weakness of each model. Before the class, I have read the
material first but I still did not understand clearly about those models. After
discussing with my friends, I got more enlightenment I have understood about the
difference between direct instruction and lecture discussion. In my
understanding after discussing about them, in lecture discussion, there is a
deeper explanation of the materials from the teacher, because the teacher is a
center in the learning process, but it puts learners in a passive role.
From the whole models of
instruction, what I have not understood clearly is the group discussion model. I
am still wondering about hoe it works in class and how the learning process
will be running if the activity is always grouping the students and provide the
group discussion. So, I cannot see the role of the teacher in that model. I
have to quarry more about this to make me understand completely.
This meeting was a little
bit not interesting for me because the time mostly was used by reading the
materials about the models of instruction. Then, we discussed about them in the
expert group, and then back to the main group to explain what I have got from
the expert group discussion. So, the time for discussing together with the
other group and the lecturer was too short. For me, the lecturer explanation is really important to clarify our understanding from group discussion.
This week meeting was a
bit disappointing for me and out of my expectation, because I thought we would
perform our teaching based on the lesson plan that we made in the group. My group
and I were so prepared, complete with the teaching aids that we prepared for
the performance. However, the group discussion of models of instruction spent a
lot of times, so there was no time to perform or may be this week was not for
teaching performance indeed. And also, the group had been changed into a smaller
group, then we have to make the lesson plan again.
As I know the next session
will be micro teaching session. I hope my group and I will do the best we can
in teaching performance. So, to make that happen, we have to prepare everything
well start from the lesson plan. I hope our performance will be good.

BalasHapusI understood what you have wrote. But mal why the size of fonts are not same. Some of them have big size and the other are smaller.

Firstly, I would like to say that I understand with what you try to deliver through your writing and it's also add more knowledge for me about last week session.
BalasHapusSince we are still learning, what I would like to suggest you is I think you need to pay attention to the format. I see that you use the different font so I get a little bit trouble on my eyes when I read your writing because of the font. And also, I found some typos in the writing such as word "hoe" that I think it should be "how" (2nd paragpraph, 2nd line). Thanks, Mamal :)
