Introduction of PETA.

Principles of Effective teaching and Assignment.

When the first time, I was hearing about PETA, I was predicting that I will learn about effectively of teacher. How to become effective teacher and how to manage classroom effectively. In the fact, my predictions were true. I met Ms. Ine as my lecturer in PETA. She comes from Kupang, and I thought that she is really nice.  She asked the students to introduce their selves one by one to her. After that, she asked the students to tell the inspiring and less inspiring teacher. I remember with my favorite teacher at the time.  They are Ms.Titin and Ms. Yannik. Both of them are my beloved and motivate teacher. Ms. Titin was my teacher course when I was in Junior High school. I like her because she has given new method of teaching grammar at the time. Actually, I hate grammar but because of her, I can learn grammar easily. She gave games and crystal clear explanation about the material that we learned. Ms. Yannik was my teacher in first and second semester in SSE. I like her because she has given fun teaching and motivate her students. The last is my less inspiring teacher. He was my biology teacher in Senior High School. I don’t like him because he always gives material without brief explanation. He also often left the class when  he was teaching.  Well, after the students have shared the story, Ms. Ine asked the students to describe what the effective teacher is. She also asked the students to describe what the characteristic of effective teacher are. I think that was the good start for the class, because it can stimulate the students about the lesson it selves. After discussing about the character of effective teacher, I got the interest things. Most of groups, just mention the manner of teacher which indicate as the effective teacher. According to Ms. Ine, Being an Effective teacher is not only has good manner but also good knowledge, and class management.  According to Jack C Richard being an effective must have some approach in teaching. Approaching in teaching is very important, because approach an umbrella for other sector. For example, method and technique. Well, that’s all my reflection in first week. How about you guys? Hopefully, I can know more how to be an effective teacher in PETA.
