4th Session PETA Reflection with Mrs. Warih Yuko Pangestu

The fourth session is talking about Assessment. This session was guided by Mrs. Warih. Well, What I had learn is I learnt about types of assessment. There are 2 assessments, those are Formative and Summative Assessment. Actually, those was new things for me.

From what we learnt together with Mrs. Warih. Actually, I still did not understand about the differences between Formative and Summative Assessment, even though we had a gallery walk but without explanation from my friends in the group I still did not understand about it. For this, I would like to study more and I would ask my friends if they were understand or not about the material.

I though the session was interesting. When we came, the seat was already arranged. This what we called as effective teacher. I liked that. But, for the positions in group was not effective for me, because only several members were active like Logistic that had to move to grab the printed material while the leader just sitting just to make sure that all were cleared. I though that this strategy was not necessary in the lesson.

I though that this was needed for me in being teacher candidate. The goal of assessment is to check student’s understanding but to make the assessment we had to look at the student’s competence and interest. In doing this, we had to give more than 1 type of assessment and those types were talked in this session.

For the next session, actually I did not know about the next session but I hoped that the next session would be more interesting than this one. Because PETA was one of the subject that prepared us to be teacher. I would love to learn both of them.
