Nurul Noviana, E-Reflection 2

     My learning today was different from before. It was special which I have ever understood. I have learned about what and how effective teacher is. Besides that, I have learned also what and why effective happened and given chances to responses. I have tried to give solution and would do differently later.

     One thing that I should remember was about learning new things. It was about effectiveness in teaching learning, but I got also about Tematik. Although it was not the material topic focus on this course, but it was something new as my knowledge. I have known how the teacher delivered material combination every lesson, gave the variation ways to teach, and pay attention in detail about teaching strategies appropriately. So that it could be references to teach effectively.

     The part that I have understood clearly was about kinds of methods and what the weakness of each. Then I discussed it with lecturer and friends. However it gave benefit to make differences better. It helped a lot especially for School Experience Program.

     In contradiction, the part which I still did not understand is about effective way to teach deeply. So I needed to improve and find more about it. Reading and exploration were the significant way to be applied.

     In such a way that, the interesting part is when I did discussion session. In that time, I could give comments and reasons why I responded something and gave opinion. Therefore, I could increase my own way to think and explain opinions in front of other friends.

     I was really sure that all the things which I have learned today would give me benefit and meaning as a power of teaching. I could improve my ability in teaching appropriately. It also gave me knowledge as a source of effective teaching learning. It would be meaningful if I could apply it and make another effective teaching better. As a teacher candidate I should not only know about the topic, concept, or pattern but also could make decision which one actually the efficient teaching way or not.

     Today’s session gave me more than I expected before. Actually I wanted to know about what the teacher is in many theories. Then it could motivate me to make strategies in teaching. But then, I have been brought to the special session with discussing effective teacher in a movie presentation and study case papers. Although I just observed and analyzed it, I felt a lot to learn effective teacher behaviors. Implicitly it described the reality which is a case and forced me to think beneficially.

     For the next session I hope I could know more again about another Principle English Teaching and Assessments (PETA). Then I could take the best one to be applied as soon as possible.
