My First Reflection of PETA

            When I heard about PETA, I think I will learn many principals about how to become an effective teacher and effective teaching language and that was proof it because in the first session Ms. Ine as the lecturer gives some explanation about this course. She said that we will learn about many thing that include of how to be effective teaching and effective teacher in the classroom. In the first session, Ms. Ine want to know more about her new students in her class so she asked one person as a volunteer to introduced her/his self in front of my friends and tell about her/his holiday. 

            It was really interesting because we can share many different holidays from each other. As like me, I spend my holiday just in the house in front of my laptop and become a stalker for my favorite boy band from South Korean in one month and I really happy because I can do it that. As I know, if the class is begin I will never get time as much as I spent when I holiday and I’m not sure that I can become a stalker again if I get many homework when the class begin. That is why I really enjoy my holiday.

            Then next, Ms. Ine told us to think about inspirational and less inspirational teacher that we have. My inspirational teacher is my English teacher when I am in senior high school. I did not know what is make her inspirational for me but I know she is really a confident person that can make me as a student fell comfortable when she taught me and she is the one who supported me to become a teacher. Then my less inspirational teacher is my PKN teacher. 

            Actually he is a good teacher that can explain the topic nicely but when he got angry, his emotion is really make me and my class afraid because he can say any word that contains the name of animal. That was really made me thinking that “is it true that the teacher is like this, the one who can say anything bad in front of the student” I did not want to be like him, I want to be more clam down to deal with my student and that was my motivation to become a better teacher than him.

            Then after that, Ms. Ine told us to make a group and thinking about the effective teacher based on our opinion. Most of the group wrote something like attitude and appearance that will be important in effective teaching but Ms. Ine said to become an effective teacher there is an important one that was knowledge. The teacher who can use her/his knowledge and show it to her/his attitude is like one surplus from that teacher.

The teacher should master the topic and deliver to the students easily using various method. Various methods make the students pay attention of the lesson and get more understand of the topic and it will morea effective to teaching learning.. I have to be more diligent to learn about the effective teacher and effective teaching in this course, because it will be more help me when I got School Experience Program that will be held in next week. Actually, it is make me a little bit afraid too because I did not know what kind of students and situations that I will face it. But, I cannot lose and have to always keep my spirit to deal with any kind of that situation and that will make me more precious to become a teacher.
