Effective Teacher is..
Teacher is not just a simple profession. Teacher is a good
person who can transfer many things; ideology, knowledge, ability, whether good
or bad. But a real teacher is a person who understands well his primary
position that will influence the world. So, no excuse, the first that a teacher
should consider is that the thing he transfers is good, meaningful, and
precious.
There are so many good characters of teacher. One of them is
effectiveness. Effective is often linked to something related to time or
management. So, in my opinion, an effective teacher is a teacher who has a good
management not only in time management but also in managing the circumstance,
the program running, students, etc.
An effective teacher knows well the condition of his class by
observing and analyzing then he can decide the best choice in serving his
teaching. An effective teacher provides effective learning process. He really
considers the time and material needs to be delivered to his students. He chooses
the most effective one that by the range of time and space he has, he still be
able to serve the best in his class.
An effective teacher for me is something that we want to
gain. It needs a process of experiencing in the teaching life.
At first, I felt that being a teacher is something that is
not cool. We just stand in front the class and explain the material. But I get
a reconstruction paradigm about that. Teacher is something precious. We are
stimulated to be an effective one that can do the effective teaching we want to
reach. So now, I a little bit realize that being an effective teacher is an
obligation for us as a teacher candidate and we should take the long process of
it.
